Neil Crickmore
British Championships planner
Neil is a Grade A controller who has overseen numerous British Championship and JK events. He has planned a British Long Distance championship and a JK relay as well as Southern and SE championships in all formats. As the SEOA competitions officer, and past member of British orienteering rules group, he has organised regional planning and controlling courses.

Vince Joyce
World Masters silver medalist
Vince is a former elite orienteer who competed at an international level for Ireland and then later for England as a veteran. He has been crowned British Champion and British Night Champion on a number of occasions. Vince has had some good performances at the World Masters but a career highlight was a Silver medal in Canada 2005.

Safety Advisor
Karen Ashworth
British Championships Safety Officer
Karen has been the Safety Officer for national competitions including the JK weekend, British Sprint and Middle Distance Championships and the Peter Palmer Junior Team Relays. She is a British Orienteering event safety tutor and writes the ‘Safety Spotlight’ slot for Compass Sport magazine. Karen is a qualified coach and is the club's highly-valued safety officer.
Will Heap
England Junior Team Manager
Will is a qualified coach and is both the England Junior Team Manager and the Southdowns Junior Team Manager. He regularly coaches with the club, regional and national Talent squads. He has medalled in several British Championships and continues to pursue the elusive top tier of the podium.

Darren Warner-Swann
Southdowns Orienteer and Education Consultant
Darren has taught science for 28 years and has been Head of Science, Deputy Head teacher, Executive Deputy Headteacher, Head of School and member of school improvement teams. He is now an Education Consultant and works with Action Your Potential (AYP) with a mission to help everyone learn about and fall in love with their amazing brain.
Robert Lines
Head Coach, Southdowns Orienteers
Rob has 10 years of coaching experience with Southdowns Orienteers and the SE Junior Squad. Since the establishment of the SO Junior Squad in 2013, the juniors have seen success in national competitions winning the Peter Palmer Junior Team Relays in 2018 and achieving 2nd and 3rd place finishes in the Yvette Baker Trophy.

The pavilion is on the playing fields to the north of Paddockhurst Road, opposite the main school buildings. If approaching from the A23, turn left onto the playing fields just before the footbridge.
